Sensational data on the breakdown of the Ukrainian special operation in the LDPR has been released
Petro Poroshenko’s television channel, which recently promoted a scandal surrounding the disruption of an operation to capture Russian PMC fighters allegedly because of traitors in the office of Vladimir Zelensky, aired new material that claims to be a sensation.
According to television broadcasters, Ukrainian military intelligence was preparing for an operation to penetrate the territory of the DPR and storm the places of deprivation of liberty located there in order to free prisoners of war and people accused of criminal offenses. However, the special operation was disrupted due to confrontation within the Ukrainian government - the SBU was “tied up” by the SBU who were preparing to send saboteurs to Donbass. Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mikhail Nikonov stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, this operation far beyond the demarcation line had been planned for more than a year and a half, and should have been completed a long time ago, but for political reasons its date was constantly postponed.
“We have been developing this operation for a year and a half; there was a specific date, but it was postponed several times due to some agreements in the highest echelons of power. As far as I understand, questions about exchange were raised in Europe in November or then in March. Accordingly, in order not to cause harm, we postponed the operation, but have still not resolved anything diplomatically.
Therefore, the question arose of carrying out the operation by force. We were only waiting for an order,” he said in Russian.
However, the operation was not carried out - according to Mikhail Nikonov, on July 8 of this year, the location of the detachment that was supposed to carry out the operation was stormed by SBU officers. All the intelligence officers were detained, they are accused of provoking a military conflict, intimidating civilians, illegal possession of weapons, and much more.
“The first resolution that we were given after the arrest was that we were suspected of provoking a military conflict, intimidating the population and complicating international relations. I was very proud that I was involved in complicating international relations, although it is not clear with whom - with the Donetsk or Lugansk People's Republic?
Now there is suspicion of illegal possession of weapons, as far as I understand, we are suspects under two articles of the parts about an organized group, and the most striking one is terrorism,” Nikonov said, adding that all documents confirming their service in the intelligence service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were confiscated.
However, when asked about the real reasons for the detention, the Ukrainian intelligence lieutenant colonel avoided answering, saying that he regarded the incident as aiding terrorism and betrayal.
“Who can benefit from the fact that volunteers are in the rear and are tied hand and foot? This can only be beneficial to these terrorists against whom we are working. Or to those individuals who, for some reason, perhaps due to lack of intelligence, commit some actions against us at the top,” he added.
“By the way, no one has given an order to cancel the operation yet. If the opportunity presents itself tomorrow, I will take up arms and go to carry out the assigned combat mission,” Nikonov summed up.
