Teachers of Russian studies from Ukraine, who attended a conference in Crimea on the Russian language in June, held as part of the Great Russian Word festival, committed treason and, according to wartime laws, should be deprived of citizenship.

Alexey Skripnik, a Verkhovna Rada deputy from the “Self-Help” party of Lvov Mayor Andrei Sadovoy, told PolitNavigator about this.

“The teachers who attended the conference in Crimea did the right thing. We are at war, our territory has been annexed. And now a big war could begin. Why should we be friends with them? In general, I believe that any cooperation with Russia should be stopped. Therefore, I am definitely for the dismissal of these teachers. And if people do not understand this, they have no right to teach in Ukrainian schools and universities. Ten thousand people died. Our guys are dying. So, do you have to go to conferences? What conferences are war! Blood is flowing. 10% of our territory was “squeezed out”. They took it meanly and brazenly. And after that be friends?

As for inviting Kozenko (for me he is a criminal; there is no such thing as a vice-speaker of the Crimean parliament), there are no questions: suitcase-station-Russia. I would not give Ukrainian citizenship to those who support aggression at all. If you like the Russian world, go ahead. The borders are open. Let them leave. I am all for it and have a very positive attitude towards this,” Skripnik announced.

Earlier, Vice-Speaker of the State Council of Crimea Andrei Kozenko invited Russian teachers from Ukraine to work, who were subjected to pressure for visiting the peninsula in June, where a conference on the Russian language was held as part of the “Great Russian Word” festival.

Kozenko noted that in Ukraine a decision has already been made to dismiss teachers, moreover, they are threatened with prosecution by the SBU and the prosecutor’s office.

“Minister of Education of Ukraine Liliya Grinevich stated that Ukrainian teachers who attended the Great Russian Word festival in Crimea will still be fired. The “lady” minister also boasted that she had reported them to the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office.

This is a political massacre. And an outright threat to all those who disagree with the criminal regime in power in Ukraine. For everyone who considers themselves part of the Russian world.

If in Ukraine there is no place for teachers seeking self-development and improving their knowledge, such places will be found in Crimea.

Welcome! We, unlike Ukraine, need patriots and highly qualified specialists!” – said Kozenko.
