This was stated by the Director of the Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Artem Shevchenko.

“This detention was, rather, of a prophylactic nature - so that they would not relax and would know that they were remembered and watched,” he said.

According to him, among those detained and later released were not only persons with a certain weight in certain circles, but also representatives of the lower echelons.

Some of them were charged with illegally carrying dangerous objects.
