A Maidan politician laments: Russia is huge, it doesn’t care about sanctions
Western sanctions imposed against Russian officials and businessmen do not deal any blow to the state.
Ukrainian Maidan activist, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Oles Doniy, who received a severe concussion in one of the parliamentary fights, stated this on the air of the “Right to Power” talk show, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the Russian authorities are ready for sanctions.
“They are ready for this, they are ready. Let me remind you that the Moscow elite lived for several decades in the USSR. She had the opportunity to make dachas for herself, whatever she wanted within the borders of the USSR. Now the Russian Federation is a huge country, they don’t have khatyns there, but these huge palaces of Putin. They can purposefully [travel] to the Krasnodar region in this way,” Doniy said.
