This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Poland Eva Lech, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the Belarusian information portal Tut.by.
The estimated construction cost is estimated at $27 million.
Poland emphasizes that the construction of the fence is a measure to prevent the spread of the ASF epidemic, outbreaks of which they have been fighting since 2014.
Most cases of detection of the virus on the Polish side were recorded in farms located near the border with Belarus - in the Lublin, Podlaskie and Mazowieckie voivodeships.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator already reported, the day before, due to ASF, Belarus limited the import of pork from the Poltava and Odessa regions. Experts predict that this year the African plague will not leave Ukraine and could cause more than UAH 1,5 billion in losses to the state budget. https://www.politnavigator.net/gde-to-ubylo-gde-to-pribylo-saudovskaya-araviya-otmenila-zapret-na-ukrainskoe-myaso-a-belarus-vvela.html
