Putin in China used aikido against Poroshenko
Vladimir Putin’s statement made today in China about the possibility of sending UN peacekeepers to the front line in Donbass - a strong move by the Russian president, since Moscow has put forward conditions that the nationalist regime of Petro Poroshenko simply cannot fulfill.

“Putin made a strong move. By conditioning the deployment of UN peacekeeping forces on the requirement for the withdrawal of weapons and coordination with the Donbass republics, the Russian president showed that Russia not only consistently insists on a peaceful settlement, but also offers specific mechanisms for this. Putin’s unusual move was also noted by Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik.
