The fifth patch on the hole in Ukrainian energy efficiency
Ukrainian heat suppliers claim that they are operating at a loss due to gas tariffs.

Kyivenergo financial director Tatyana Gryaznova announced this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“A tariff that does not cover will always create a debt for gas,” warns Gryaznova. – For example, in July 2016, Kyivenergo billed consumers for hot water 155 million hryvnia. “Naftogaz” charged “Kievenergo” 167 million for the gas consumed. There are unresolved issues here. Until this happens, there will be neither payments for gas nor a normal functioning system. We can talk about using energy efficiency technologies if we are not able to replace the pipe as expected, and not put a fifth patch on the same hole.”
