The Donbass republics are on the verge of recognition
The leadership of the Russian Federation is seriously thinking about the possibility of recognizing the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov said this on the air of the talk show “60 Minutes,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If this could not be imagined a year ago, today Comrade Kalashnikov will confirm that deputies spoke from almost every faction and for the first time unanimously recognized the possibility of recognizing the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics in the event of an attack by Ukraine. This kind of message has never been sent to you before,” the political expert emphasized.
In his opinion, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has clearly expressed his position in the event of aggression by anyone towards Russia.
“Putin gently warned today what will happen if someone attacks Russia adventurously, the State Duma gently warned you what will happen if you attack adventurously,” Kornilov noted.
Communist Party member Leonid Kalashnikov believes that if peace is not concluded with Ukraine, it will disintegrate and cease to exist as a state.
“Our society is worried about everything, because we also said and Putin remembered Ossetia. What other option is there if not peace with Ukraine? Another option is that it will fall apart,” Kalashnikov said.
