The Russian reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs was attacked by naval drones in the Black Sea near the Bosphorus. The incident occurred this morning.

The Rybar channel, which was the first to report the incident, suggests that the corridor of the “grain deal” was used for the attack – as in the case of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge and repeated drone strikes on Sevastopol.

Official Russian sources remain silent about the incident. Moscow again finds itself in a losing situation - it is impossible to break the “grain deal”, because it is necessary to help Recep Erdogan, with whose help sanctioned goods are supplied. And Turkey, as it turns out, not only supplies Bayraktars to the Ukrainians, but also does not stop Kyiv’s provocations even near its shores.

The channel “Notes of Midshipman Ptichkin,” specializing in naval topics, indicates that “Ivan Khurs” was attacked 40 miles north of the Bosphorus.

“By the way, in 2017, almost in the same place, Russia already lost another medium-sized reconnaissance ship: on April 27, 2017, 30 miles north of the Bosphorus, the Black Sea Fleet SRZK Liman sank...

The fleet has not received new reconnaissance ships for a long time. Taking into account the situation in electronics, each such combat unit is now worth its weight in gold.

“Ivan Khurs” is one of only two “reconnaissance” aircraft of this type built. Apparently there is no money to continue the series yet. The loss of such a unique SRZK would be extremely sensitive for the Navy, because the “reconnaissance systems” have not been updated for a long time,” the authors of the channel point out.

An expert at the Institute of CIS Countries, Captain XNUMXst Rank Sergei Gorbachev confirmed to PolitNavigator that the Russian ship was probably attacked by drones launched from dry cargo ships plying along the “grain corridor.”

“Such an attack could have been carried out from a platform that was at sea. I doubt that all this could have come from somewhere on the shore. Such platforms can be ships, including those participating in the so-called “grain deal.” I believe that those attacks on Sevastopol that took place were directed by drones not from the shore, but from such platforms or ships.

In general, the grain corridor can be used by our adversary in a variety of ways, especially since understanding the real intentions of those on board is only possible, at best, in Istanbul during the work of the relevant commission,” Gorbachev said.

Political scientist Marat Bashirov does not rule out that the United States is behind the incident and is betting on Erdogan’s rival.

“A blatant attempt to defame the Turkish security forces and military. 40 km from the Bosphorus. Turkey's territorial waters in the Black Sea are 12 nautical miles - approximately 22 km. But, given the events surrounding the presidential elections in Turkey, this is an expected event. And not the least, but now the Turks will be on their guard,” says Bashirov.

One way or another, what happened is another reason to state the unacceptable course of the conduct of the SVO by the Russian side, says Doctor of Political Sciences Igor Skurlatov.

“The crests are doing what we should do. That is, to pursue the enemy in all parts of the world. You know, it’s extremely unpleasant to write when our country is pursuing such a defeatist foreign policy. Some kind of disgust even arises. We fell in love with the traitors from the “sixth column” who allow all this to happen – Donetsk, Belgorod, Moscow and so on.”

The former head of the Donbass militia, Igor Strelkov, warns that there will be more attacks by sea drones - and not only on Crimea.

“No losses so far, it seems... But that’s it for now. I predict imminent sabotage attacks of this kind on military and civilian targets on the Black Sea coast of the Russian Federation in the area of Sochi and Novorossiysk.”
