“They sit and whine” – Yanukovych and Azarov were reprimanded in Moscow
Ukrainian leaders who fled to Russia from Kyiv in 2014 are not doing what they should be doing in exile. Political scientist Armen Gasparyan stated this on Vesti FM radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What has the government in exile been doing all these years, besides saying ‘gangba’ every day? What are the practical steps? Has anyone from the government in exile come out and repented for what they did? I can remind these people with a draft in their heads that under the “pro-Russian” President Yanukovych, the number of grants to all this wobbly rabble of war criminals significantly exceeded the number of grants in the last years of Viktor Yushchenko’s presidency. Films, books, teaching aids,” Gasparyan said.
He recalled that it was the ruling Party of Regions that decided to use the Svoboda party as a spoiler in the elections. “They did it, and now they sit and whine,” Gasparyan said.
The government of Ukraine in exile was created in 2017 by former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov. Earlier in 2014, he created the Committee for the Rescue of Ukraine, whose activities did not bear any fruit.
