Yatsenyuk decided to “lick” McCain after his death
The Popular Front faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proposed to the Kyiv authorities to name one of the central streets of Kyiv after American Senator John McCain, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About it said the head of the Popular Front faction Maxim Burbak during the Conciliation Council of the Verkhovna Rada.
“We must express our gratitude to the great American who loyally supported Ukraine in the most difficult days and hours,” Burbak said.
On September 1 in the United States, the leader of the Popular Front party, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, took part in a ceremony in memory of McCain at the Washington National Cathedral.
In an interview with reporters, he said that in his opinion, McCain was “a great son of the American people and a great friend of the Ukrainian people.”
“He was with us on the Maidan. In the Senate, he was the person who promoted legislation to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He was the person who promoted legislation to impose sanctions against Russia,” Yatsenyuk said.
