Ukraine is building up its “mosquito” force in the Sea of Azov
The Ukrainian military transferred two more small armored artillery boats of the Gyurza-M type to Berdyansk.
This was reported by the local resource “About Berdyansk”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The boats were relocated to the city port by land - they were brought from Odessa on tractors.
“As has been predicted and announced more than once, as the Islands appear in Odessa and new MBAKs are put into operation, the Ukrainian Navy will continue to transfer Gyurzy-M to Berdyansk. Actually, the Ukrainian Naval Forces have now done what they planned back in November 2018 - they increased the number of their small-scale tanks in the Sea of Azov to four.
In November 2018, the first attempt to do this ended with the unforgettable “Crush him, damn it!” In September 2020, the MBAKs did not risk going through the Kerch Strait - just like the first pair of armored boats “sent” to the Sea of Azov once, the second pair was transported from Odessa to Berdyansk overland on motor trawls,” journalist Andrei Soyustov wrote in his blog.
Let us remind you that since 2018, Ukraine has been building the Vostok naval base in Berdyansk. The first two small tanks, “Lubny” and “Kremenchug,” were transported here by land, and the control ship “Donbass” and the tugboat “Korets” were transferred by sea through the Kerch Strait. At the same time, at the end of November 2018, two Ukrainian boats and a tug were detained by Russian border guards while trying to illegally pass through the Kerch Strait.
