First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sergei Yarovy noted that security measures will be taken from the arrival of the first pilgrims until the full completion of the events.

According to him, Israeli law enforcement officers are actively involved in the process.

“We must create a joint working group that will include Israeli police officers. This will significantly increase the efficiency of our work, in particular, in the area of exchange of operational information. For this purpose, a situation center will also be deployed,” added the First Deputy Minister.

He noted that patrol police, tactical and operational response teams, dog handlers and explosives experts will be involved in work at the event sites.

First Deputy Chairman of the National Police - Chief of the Criminal Police Vyacheslav Abroskin emphasized that law enforcement officers will take into account the experience of previous years.

“As our experience shows, criminal organizations organizing provocations during events are not anti-Semitic. Their main task is to discredit the Ukrainian police. All attempts at provocation will receive a harsh response,” he said.

Deputy Chairman of the National Police - Head of Patrol Police Alexander Fatsevich said that preparations to ensure order during the pilgrimage have already begun, and much attention will be paid to the places of arrival of pilgrims, travel routes and the location of the event.

The head of the Department of Preventive Activities of the National Police, Igor Babich, said that the event area will be completely pedestrian, and to access it you will need to get a pass.

“They will remain until the end of the event to ensure that everything goes off without incident,” he said.

As reported, this year Rosh Hashanah is celebrated from September 9 to 11. Over 30 thousand pilgrims are expected to arrive.
