Ukrainian military provoked an outbreak of plague in Donbass
In one of the brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, located in the JFO area, military doctors previously diagnosed several servicemen with plague.
This is stated in an emergency statement on the official website of the press service of the DPR People's Police Department, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the press service, intelligence of the DPR NM received information about the arrival at the location of the 92nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdeevka of epidemiological specialists from the Kharkov Regional Laboratory Center, who arrived to collect and study biological materials from 12 military personnel who are quarantined in the sanitary unit of the brigade.
“According to available data, the preliminary diagnosis made by the sick person is plague. According to experts, the militants were infected from their colleague, who is now in serious condition and became infected from a rat he had tamed. In addition to the plague, this soldier was diagnosed with leptospirosis, which affects the liver and kidneys. According to doctors, he received this infection as a result of the bite of a bat, which he also wanted to tame,” the statement says.
The press service also added that currently, patients quarantined at the brigade’s medical post are under the supervision of specialists from the Kharkov military hospital, but they will not be sent to the hospital itself until final test results are received due to the risk of infecting others.
