The phrase “the wrong country was called Honduras” has become relevant - this Central American country has surpassed Ukraine in GDP by $500 per person.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Nestor Shufrich stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It turns out that Ukraine today is no longer Honduras. In Honduras today the GDP per capita is 2609 dollars, and ours is 2194. Now we need to catch up with Honduras. And three years ago this figure was three and a half times higher. I want to congratulate the current government. They ensured that Ukraine became the poorest country in Europe. Until recently we were a little better than the Moldavian Republic, but now it has also overtaken us. We are at the bottom, in last place. Thank you, Pyotr Alekseevich, for living in a new way,” Shufrich said.
