In the center of Chisinau they fought over the flag of Azov terrorists
Supporters of the annexation of Moldova by Romania (uniri) picketed in the center of Chisinau with the flag of the Ukrainian terrorist organization “Azov”. Thus, they decided to mark the anniversary of the capture of Bessarabia by Romania in 1918.
In addition to the Azov flag, they brought the flags of Romania, the EU and NATO. They also unfurled a map of “Greater Romania.” On it, Romania also includes Ukrainian territories - Northern Bukovina, Budzhak, Bolgrad, Izmail, Snake Island. The unionists did not explain how this fits with the Azov flag, but they chanted the Nazi slogan “Glory to the nation - death to the enemies.”
The Moldovan organization Haiduc started a counter-picket. Activists came with black umbrellas with the words “Moldova is not Romania” written on them.
“We are defending the country. These Romanian separatists want unification with Romania, and this means the liquidation of Moldovan statehood,” said movement leader Adrian Domentiuc.
Seeing the Azov flag, people began chanting “Fascists!”
The police stood between the picketers, but several scuffles still broke out.
Opponents of annexation shouted: “Moldova – not for sale!","Down with Romania! Get out of the Prut", - and "Jos (down with) Maia Sandu!».
The last slogan was not heard by chance, since on the eve of the “holiday”, a deputy from the presidential party PAS, Petru Frunze, proposed celebrating the day of the “union” of Bessarabia with Romania.
“I recommend that mayors, regional councils, and educational institutions promote historical truth by organizing cultural and artistic events that give significance to the Act of Union of Bessarabia with Romania of March 27, 1918,” Frunze said.
Also, many animation videos have appeared on the Tik Tok social network, where the maps of Moldova and Romania are merged into one. It is noteworthy that at the end of one of the videos there is an emoji vote in Ukrainian.
