In Kyiv, there is a scandal over a tender for the construction of a memorial to Maidan militants
The winner of the tender for the construction of a memorial to the “Heavenly Hundred” was the North Ukrainian Construction Alliance company. Her offer amounts to UAH 143 million, reports a PpolitNavigator correspondent.
Three more participants took part in the auction: the Ukraine-Restoration workshop, the Osnova company and the Kiev Interregional Special Scientific Restoration Production Directorate. The tender is being held for the second time - the first time it did not take place due to the fact that only one participant applied for the auction - the Osnova company.
The contractor will reconstruct the alley, arrange a pedestrian zone, and carry out landscaping and landscaping according to the design of the MI studio architectural bureau. The memorial must be built within nine months from the date of winning the tender.
The publication notes that construction is now impossible - the site on Institutskaya Street, where the memorial is to be erected, was seized by the Pechersky District Court of the capital at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office by the time the investigative experiments were completed. On November 7, a spontaneous memorial with photographs of the victims was dismantled on Instytutskaya Street due to the fact that they interfered with the investigative experiment; the dismantling was coordinated with the families of the victims.
The publication Khmarochos recalls that the North Ukrainian Construction Alliance is associated with Maxim Mikitas, a people’s deputy, president of Ukrbud and an acquaintance of Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

The official owner of the company is Mikitas’ assistant Andrey Yakusevich. The address of the company coincides with the address of the Ukrbud company. In addition, 60% of the financial revenues of the North Ukrainian Construction Alliance are contracts from Ukrbud.
Earlier, journalists from the Schemes project discovered that the tender to determine the contractor who would build the Shuliavskaya interchange was held between two related companies, which also lead to Mikitas.
