As the mayor of Lvov, Andrey Sadovoy, said at the Spring Business Forum, two options for laying the Euro-gauge track are currently being discussed - from Lvov to the Polish city of Przemysl or Warsaw.
“To choose the best option, you need to develop a feasibility study,” Sadovyi was quoted as saying by the My City publication.
The Polish side is inclined to build a European route from Lviv to Warsaw, said the head of the Lviv railway Bogdan Pikh.
“The Poles believe that this is a historical message and it is very promising. After all, they will have access to the Black Sea. In addition, such a project - the construction of 60 km of track - can be implemented quite quickly. After all, there is already such a track to Rava-Russkaya on the Polish side,” recalled Bogdan Pikh.
According to Piha, Europe is not against co-financing this project.
