The tasks of the Northern Military District were initially unrealistic - Tsarev
Russia found itself in a unique historical situation, left alone in a war with the Western world, without a single ally.
The first speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleg Tsarev, said this on air on the channel of the party “SR “For Truth”,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Conclusions, of course, must be drawn for the reason that no matter what they say from high stands, it is probably impossible to say that “everything is going according to plan.” Not everything goes according to plan, there is a war, Russians are killing Russians, this is not very good.
The main conclusion that Russia made is that we should not underestimate the enemy. How was it possible for a 200-strong armed contingent to enter a large warring country?!
They believe that they have been fighting with us for 8 years, they say at the legislative level that they are fighting with the Russian Federation in Donetsk, they are used to it. And, of course, this was an unrealistic task,” stated Tsarev.
In his opinion, until the war becomes domestic for the Russians, there is no need to talk about victory.
“I am not a historian, but from the knowledge that exists, I can conclude that we, Russians, have never been in such a situation as we are now. Even during the Crimean campaign we had allies; Prussia was behind us. And now we have no allies, we are alone against the entire Western world. And it is very difficult to withstand this war, at least not lose in it. This is a very serious task.
And to say that Russians have always won all wars is a lie. We lost the Crimean campaign and the Japanese one. We have lost many campaigns. We have not lost a single people's patriotic war. This means we need to involve people. And we are always trying to limit it somehow.
That is, the North Military District is coming, I come to Moscow, everyone here thinks that: “Well, it’s there, somewhere, we live our lives, and where, by the way, are we going on vacation - Turkey, Egypt, Sochi? It's probably dangerous in Crimea" This is how we won’t win the war,” the ex-deputy explained.
