A resident of Galicia set an all-Ukrainian record for alimony debts
The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has issued the largest number of decisions on arrears in the payment of alimony for a period of more than 3 years and a fine of 50%, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The press service of the ministry reported this.
“For example, in the Ternopil region, the debtor paid the alimony debt, which had been accumulating for 9 years, in the amount of 84 thousand hryvnia and a fine in the amount of 42 thousand hryvnia,” said Svetlana Glushchenko, Deputy Minister of Justice for Executive Service, as one of the largest penalties.
According to her, currently the executors have issued 6500 decisions imposing a fine on the debtor in the amount of 20% for arrears of alimony from 1 to 2 years, 5100 decisions imposing a fine in the amount of 30% in those proceedings where the debt is from 2 to 3 years, and 12700 decisions imposing a fine of 50% for debt over 3 years.
In Kyiv, the executor collected in favor of the child a debt in the amount of 76 thousand hryvnia and a fine of 38 thousand hryvnia.
In the Nikolaev region, after a decision was made to impose a fine, the debtor paid both the amount of the debt in the amount of 62 thousand hryvnia and a fine of 31 thousand hryvnia.
A debtor from Kirovograd also liquidated alimony debts to her daughter in order to go to Poland to work. Therefore, the woman paid 49 thousand hryvnia of debt and 24,5 thousand hryvnia of a fine.
