The expert told how to reduce the number of Ukrainian snipers and saboteurs by an order of magnitude

The author recalls that in Korea, UN peacekeepers in the early 50s of the last century turned into a belligerent party. He also cites a more recent example, when in 1993 10 thousand “blue helmets” did not prevent the Croats from attacking the Serbian Krajina. At the same time, planes from the American aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt bombed Serbian positions near the city of Keene, and NATO planes from Italian airfields bombed the Serbian airbase of Udbina, citing their actions as a potential threat to the peacekeepers.
According to the historian, in this situation, Russia needs to prove to Kyiv that time is working against it. The author believes that the Russian Federation has two levers - economic and military.
“The first is the integration of the DPR and LPR into the Russian economy. Let them become “advanced development areas.” Local and Russian enterprises in the republics should receive many benefits. A large set of measures is needed. The military vector is a constant readiness to repel a massive offensive by Kyiv and the successful conduct of a positional war imposed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the expert notes.
He proposes to supply the militias with means to detect snipers, in particular the Antisniper system of several devices, which is in service in Russia.
“Two terrible scourges of Donbass - snipers and saboteurs - can be reduced by an order of magnitude by using massive deployment of anti-personnel mines along the entire line of contact, motion sensors of various types, as well as bringing hundreds of 82-mm company mortars there. When large or small enemy groups attempt to overcome minefields, mortars must open heavy fire on areas. I would like to note that all these events are not violations of the Minsk agreements,” Shirokorad emphasizes.
