“Grafomaniac naked” – Montyan attacked Surkov
Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan harshly criticized ex-aide to Russian President Vladislav Surkov for his recent interview, which claimed that the West, tired of Ukraine’s begging, would soon ask the Kremlin to take Kyiv back under its control.

But Putin refuses - we don’t need all of Ukraine, Crimea is enough for us,” the lawyer described Surkov’s logic.
“I guess that’s why Putin fired Surkov because because of his projects, Russia began to win on all fronts, and the collective West began to return Ukraine to Russia,” Montyan quipped.
She was indignant that Surkov continues to insist on the benefits of the Minsk agreements for Donbass, assuring that the law “on special status” adopted by the Verkhovna Rada protects Donetsk and Lugansk from the Nazi humanitarian policies of Kyiv.
“Actually, this happens when creative individuals, and Surkov is certainly a graphomaniac, are engaged in writing international agreements,” Montyan said. “It seems to him that the special status is a law stating that Ukrainian laws do not apply in the territory of ORDLO, but he really believes in this, but he didn’t think to consult with lawyers.”
She believes that the Minsk agreements could easily be used by the West and Kiev as a screen for clearing out the LDPR. The only question is that both the Ukrainian elite and Western patrons benefit from the continuation of the conflict, and reintegration is not needed.
“If the current Ukrainian authorities, or rather their Western patrons, really wanted to return the LDPR to their fold, they would do so by accepting all the terms of the Minsk agreements,” the lawyer objected. – And the “special status” would have lasted exactly until the Ukrainian Armed Forces took control of the border, dug in and created a layered line of defense. They would also call in international peacekeepers.”
“Exactly at that moment, the entire “special status” would cease to exist within five minutes. Either the Rada itself would repeal the adopted laws or make changes to them, or the Constitutional Court would declare it unconstitutional. And what would Russia do? Having handed over the border to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and even receiving international peacekeepers there, would you rush across the border with all your military force, sweeping away fortifications and killing Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers along with international observers?
I doubt. And in the Donbass, people also very much doubt this, and therefore they are waiting in horror to see what the big bosses will agree on there, and are very grateful to both Poroshenko and Zelensky that they firmly stand on their position - first the borders, and then the elections, which is fundamentally violates the letter of the Minsk agreements, and which Russia cannot agree to,” Montyan explained.
