Kyiv was left without hot water until the beginning of summer
The Kiev City State Administration states that 8 districts of Kyiv will be disconnected from hot water supply until June 1 due to the re-signing of contracts with the Kievgaz company, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The city has combined these processes in time - technical regulatory work to prepare networks for winter and the process of renewing gas supply contracts. To implement them, district heating networks are forced to temporarily stop hot water supply as planned until June 1,” the press service echoes the words of the deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration, Pyotr Panteleev.
He explained that this is due to the conclusion of contracts for gas supply to a number of boiler houses in Svyatoshinsky, Shevchenkovsky, Solomensky, Podolsky, Goloseevsky, Obolonsky, and parts of Darnitsky and Pechersky districts.
In particular, we are talking about those houses that cannot be connected to CHPP-5, CHPP-6 and the Energia plant.
Also, due to the process of concluding agreements for gas supply to boiler houses, the process of conducting annual hydraulic tests of heating networks was begun.
Hydraulic testing is a diagnostic method that is used annually after the end of the heating season and until August inclusive, in order to identify and correct damaged and worn-out sections of heating networks in advance before the start of the next heating season.
According to the standards, tests are carried out using water with a temperature of up to +40°C, which is supplied to the heating network with high pressure. In this regard, it is technologically impossible to test heating networks without turning off the hot water.
