The results of the Ukraine-EU summit held in Brussels are humiliation and interference in the internal affairs of Kyiv, said Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Lyashko.
He sharply criticized the EU for failing to fulfill its promise to provide Ukraine with a visa-free regime.

“The result of today’s summit in Brussels is that the EU will allocate 16 million euros to Ukraine to fight corruption. Let them spend money on buying brains! Today, European bureaucrats have demonstrated to Ukrainians and the whole world that they are running empty. Poroshenko should not have gone to Brussels today so as not to humiliate Ukraine.
Through blood, sweat and tears - this is the only way a truly independent, neutral and strong Ukraine will be born, which no one will risk humiliating with unfulfilled promises and cheap handouts,” Lyashko said.
He also expressed outrage at the words of the Chairman of the European Commission, who said that President Poroshenko promised to soon repeal the law banning the export of unprocessed round timber from Ukraine.
“For the information of European bureaucrats: 1. Poroshenko cannot promise to repeal the law, because only the Verkhovna Rada can do this. 2. Poroshenko cannot lead the parliament and deputies, because the Constitution does not allow him to do so. 3. Poroshenko cannot promise what he cannot do: in Minsk he promised to change the Constitution of Ukraine to please the Kremlin, in Brussels he promised to lift the moratorium on timber exports.
I demand that EU Ambassador to Ukraine Mingarelli and all other foreign visitors, no matter where they come from, stop blatantly interfering in the internal affairs of sovereign Ukraine and teach us what to do... we will not give up our forest or our land to anyone,” Lyashko swaggers.
