“It won’t seem like much” – Lavrov threatened Poroshenko with a tough answer
At the end of December, Ukraine is preparing provocations on the border with Crimea.
Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the minister, if these plans are implemented, Ukraine will receive such a response that it “wouldn’t think it enough.”
“We have information that about 12 thousand military personnel and a large amount of equipment have been concentrated on the contact line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They are actively helped in this by American, British and, apparently, some other instructors. An American drone patrols this area quite regularly. Additional information that we have, and which we are inclined to believe, is that in the last ten days of December Poroshenko is planning an armed provocation on the border with the Russian Federation, on the border with Crimea.
He will receive an answer - it will not seem too little, I assure you of this. This is our country, these are our borders, and we will not allow him to try in any way to defend his, as he understands, interests and violate the rights that the Crimeans have defended in full compliance with international law,” Lavrov said.
He also emphasized that the President of Ukraine coordinates his provocations with the West.
“According to our information, he is discussing this provocation on the border with Crimea with his Western curators, with his Western trustees. And, according to our information, he is advised to maintain low-intensity hostilities so that he can constantly scream in the propaganda field that the Russians are advancing on Ukraine, therefore the Russians need to be subjected to even more sanctions, but in no case should military operations turn into such phase, followed by full-scale responses. The provocation is disgusting, petty, our relevant services are taking all necessary measures to ensure that such excesses do not occur,” said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
