Ukrainian officials giving interviews about the possibility of repeating the “Croatian scenario” in Donbass should have shown more prudence, since, in the event of an order from the leadership of the LDPR, the militia will reach Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk and Odessa.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Viktor Vodolatsky stated this on the air of the National News Service.
“If Zakharchenko and Pasechnik had expressed their desire, then in two weeks their militia would have reached the Dnieper, because the population of the Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, and Odessa regions today is ready to take up pitchforks in order to get rid of the government that made them beggars.
There is huge popular discontent there, people just haven’t taken to the streets yet. If there are any actions on the part of the LPR and DPR armies, it will increase significantly,” said the Russian deputy.
