Farewell to the “Emir of Arabat”
At the end of March, the Regional Development Council met in Kyiv with the participation of Poroshenko. What happened at the meeting of another empty talking shop is not at all interesting. It is important that at the end of the event, a number of regional leaders were invited to the carpet to see Him. What exactly was discussed behind the oak doors is unknown, but some local leaders returned home sad, preparing to hand over their affairs and vacate their occupied positions.
This cup has not passed over the head of the Genichesk district state administration, Vorobyov. The indomitable fighter against “Russian aggression” packs his bags and waits for the command from above “with his things to go out.” His place will most likely be taken by the current mayor of Genichesk, Alexander Tulupov, a representative of the Opposition Bloc.

The reason for the appointment of Tulupov in Vorobyov’s place is quite funny. Tulupov, considered a “strong business executive,” has already promised Kyiv to normalize the socio-economic situation in the Genichesk region, as well as to increase milk production and harvests. According to rumors coming from the administration of the President of Ukraine, realizing that the blockade of Crimea had caused damage to the population, Kyiv gave tacit approval to the resumption of trade with the peninsula. In order to raise the ratings of authorities at all levels, supposedly, by the beginning of the holiday season, restrictions on the export of products to the “temporarily occupied” Crimea will be lifted for farmers in the Genichesk region.
In general, “the hopes of young men are nourished” and “flowers are late.” Especially against the background of the protective measures introduced by Russia towards Ukraine, which signed the law on “free trade” with the EU, as well as the outbreak of African swine fever and bird flu in the Kherson region.
We will see how the Henichesky district, governed by the wise and skillful hand of a new leader from the “oppositionists,” will bloom and sprout. In the meantime, Vorobyov is clinging to the Kermanych’s chair with all his might, let’s finally give him a little attention. After all, they were neighbors.
According to the official biography, Shurik Vorobyov was born in Dnepropetrovsk in 1968. Like all children of the Soviet era, he was a member and participated. Until Independence came.
Evil tongues claim that in the column “work activity” Vorobyov has an entry: “08.1984 – 09.1993 – service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” which in itself is an anecdote. It is also known that Vorobyov was a cadet at the Sumy Higher Military Artillery Command School, after which he fled as a lieutenant to the Soviet Army. In 1992, as a principled officer and patriot, Vorobyov changed the Soviet Oath to the Ukrainian one, but the fervor of the new patriotism did not last long: a year later he went into demobilization. It is interesting that, being an artillery officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vorobyov manages to combine military service with the position of head of the security service of the Dnepropetrovsk enterprise “Salamander”. Apparently, not allowing the racketeers to get within range of a cannon shot.
Vorobyov’s further life is as a professional watchman in various security departments of companies and firms in his native Dnepropetrovsk. So Voroba would have turned out to be an eternal watchdog at someone else’s property, until the “gidnost” struck.
The Ukrainian “Euromaidan” that broke out in 2013 became a social elevator, a springboard, a catapult, carrying to the top all kinds of fiery watchmen, homeless people and activists with certificates. Ex-scorer Vorobyov was no exception. Having mastered the art of making incendiary speeches, Vorobyov very soon became not only a tribune of the “revolution”, but also the deputy commandant of the huge stinking, blazing garbage dump of “Euromaidan”. Witnesses tell how in February 2014, Voroba rode like a goat under the walls of the Verkhovna Rada and, with a broken goat, demanded reprisals from the chiefs of the Yanukovych police, the prosecutor’s office and the SBU, angrily asking “What’s stopping you from arresting the scum?”
In general, intelligence flowed like a fountain from this enterprising watchman. For example, Vorobyov urged the maydowners not to stop there: “If another Heavenly Hundred is needed, we are ready to die again!” We plowed...
Vorobyov, screaming heart-rendingly with slogans, was picked up where necessary, but was not allowed into the new Zrada - the competition for one deputy mandate between the “heroes of the revolution of dignity” and wealthy boys was too large and intense. But Maidan Shurik was not left without a warm place: someone’s influential hairy paw placed him in the Ukroboronexport concern in a very arrogant and dust-free position - deputy general director for contacts with the Verkhovna Zrada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the SBU. True, already in January 2015, Vorobyov had to leave his cozy armchair and take charge of the Genichesk region of the Kherson region.
Adjacent to Crimea, Genichesk had a bad reputation among the Kyiv junta as “separatists.” Suffice it to remember that during the Crimean Spring, the then leadership of the city, together with the residents of Genic, turned to Sergei Aksenov with a request to join the Republic of Crimea. The Maidan junta remembered this request from the Genic residents and handed over the city, along with the region, to the Majlis gangs that had escaped from Crimea. And so that the entire region would be in good hands, a “true patriot” was entrusted with strengthening and leading the local cadres.
During his assumption of the post of district leader, Vorobyov, frowning, said: “In my office there will only be the flag of Ukraine, photographs of Taras Shevchenko and the Heavenly Hundred.” True, the newly imprisoned father ordered the administration building to be surrounded by reinforced squads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, gloomily noting that he feared for his life.
The following can be said about the economic activities of the Maidan “patriot” in the Genichesk region: under him, the sale of land began at bargain prices. They say that a hectare of agricultural land could be purchased for a bribe of $6 thousand. Much has been said about the gas epic and Vorobyov’s reciprocal gratitude. But there is another story about how Vorobyov promised to create “Arab Emirates” from Genichesk to the envy of the Crimean “separatists.”

The genius Shurik noticed that the Kherson region entrusted to his care is rich in natural resources, there is gas on the shelf of the Azov Sea, the Arabat Spit is washed by the sea - why not the Emirates? What is the most important thing at the beginning of all things? PR! Voila! - on Vorobyov’s instructions, the “Arabat Emirates” website is being created, promoting holidays in Genichesk and on the Arabat Spit. Then the intense anticipation began - when would the crowds of vacationers, “shredded” with money, arrive?
Evil tongues claim that the project initially had no prospects. On Arabatka and in boarding houses in the vicinity of Genichesk, right-wingers and battalion Majlis bastards protruded. The contingent was troublesome, criminal, its stay was accompanied by extortion, violence with the threat of weapons, and kidnappings. So it was possible to attract vacationers to these places only under the threat of execution. And that’s not a fact.
Currently, the website of the “Arab Emirates” is inaccessible, and, as they say, it is better not to remind him of this project in front of the emir himself. It is also reported that out of 66 boarding houses in Arabatka, only 14 agreed to accept demobilized punitive forces from the ATO along with their families for rest and treatment. Having learned about this, Vorobyov threatens to check the refuseniks “for separatism,” even if “if the other eye begins to twitch.”
Thanks to constant scandals and incompetent project-making, Vorobyov earned himself a lot of ill-wishers. Local deputies once rebelled and tried to overthrow the stupid head of the district. In defense of the “patriot,” a “hundred of sparrows” of defenders came out to the building of the Genichesk Regional State Administration for a small price, expressing absolute confidence in their leader. The agenda was removed from the vote, and a “rotation” began among local deputies.
What Vorobyov is really good at is all kinds of performances. For example, in company with the Kherson governor Gordeev, dress up in camouflage and bravely drive up to the border with Crimea. And then heart-rendingly shout insults at Putin into a megaphone like two mischievous mice from a cartoon about Leopold the cat.
In one of his shows, Vorobyov tried on the role of Gorbaty and even threatened, “We will gnaw you with our teeth, Volodenka!” Apparently, Shurik forgot under what circumstances the leader of the Black Cat gang threatened to bite Sharapov.
At the moment, Vorobyov still continues to manage the Genichesk district in his signature style - it is not yet clear when and where he will go further to reveal his countless talents. So let us wish the outgoing head of the Genichesk RGA a fair wind in his hunchbacked back and new creative work according to his vocation in some next Ukrainian tent.
