Ukraine tested a weapon that “hits deep into Russia”
In the Odessa region, new Ukrainian missile systems 360 MC "Neptune" were tested, designed to increase the combat potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the maritime sector in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas.
This was reported by the press service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the south of the Odessa region, at the Alibey training ground, the next tests of the Neptune ground-based cruise missile complex took place.
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has determined the task of developing and serially producing the latest types of missile technology, in particular providing cruise missile systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to increase their combat potential at sea in the Black and Azov Seas.
During the firing of the Neptune ground-based cruise missile complex, the tactical and technical characteristics were checked, in particular, the range and accuracy of hitting sea targets. Surface targets were hit at a given range,” the report says.
During the tests, the missile was accompanied by two Ukrainian SU-27 fighters.
Let us note that “Neptune” is the same missile that, according to Ukrainian military experts, will be able to strike “deep into Russian territory”.
We would like to remind you that earlier the President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Security Market Operators Sergei Shabovta said that The Neptune missile system cannot yet be considered a serious weapon, since we are not talking about launching into production. At the same time, it was said that the statement by Advisor to the President of Ukraine Yuri Biryukov that the missile “is reaching Sevastopol” speaks of his incompetence and irresponsibility.
