This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by Ukrainian political scientist, director of the information and analytical center Andrei Zolotarev, who called for taking into account “the progressive technological backwardness of Ukraine plus corruption” and not forgetting “the story of the infamous “Hammer” mortar, which was developed during the Great Patriotic War war.
“We already have two people in “Aidar” who died on Shirokiy Lan just because of a mortar explosion. This is clear evidence of the quality of this product. This would be the strongest argument in favor of the fact that the Ukrainian military industry is capable of producing high-quality products. And so it is still an imitation of force. This is what I want to say about missile exercises on the brink of war. If we showed our teeth to anyone, it was only within the country. I don’t think that this made a particular impression on those who have real information about the state of affairs in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the political scientist concluded.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Defense and National Security, Sergei Pashinsky, debunked the myth about the alleged successes of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, saying that Ukrainian ceiling - Dozor armored car and Molot mortar, and not serious modern weapons.
In turn, ex-Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatoly Lopata said that for a successful war with Russia Ukraine has a lot effective equipment from the times of the Great Patriotic War and you only need to prepare crews and crews for this equipment.
