An American counter-battery system was stolen from the Ukrainian army
During an inspection in one of the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, located in the “JFO” zone, a shortage of an American-made counter-battery system was revealed.
The head of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to our source in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a comprehensive commission, in the course of work to check the safety of weapons and ammunition in the 25th separate airborne brigade, in addition to the thefts and losses of weapons and ammunition, revealed the fact of a shortage of the AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery system, transferred to the United States under the military-technical cooperation program in 2019,” he said.
According to Osadchy, the glaring fact of the shortage was brought personally to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Ruslan Khomchak.
“According to preliminary data, it became known from an authorized representative in the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine that the command of the airborne assault forces was involved in the identified facts of crimes,” added the representative of the defense department.
