Yatsenyuk confirmed plans to legalize the gambling business
Kyiv, December 23 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk confirmed information about the government’s plans to legalize the gambling business, which was officially banned in Ukraine several years ago.
Yatsenyuk said this when presenting the draft budget 2015 in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the prime minister, the legalization of casinos is needed to increase budget revenues - now shadow profits go into the pockets of corrupt law enforcement officers who protect gambling houses.
At the same time, Yatsenyuk emphasized that the law on gambling must be adopted in the near future, since the 2015 state budget was built on its basis.

Let us note that Yatsenyuk’s plans are unlikely to please the prime minister’s partners in the parliamentary coalition. For example, Oleg Lyashko’s party, which is part of the parliamentary majority, just built its election campaign on the pogroms of illegal slot machine halls.
