Zelensky replaced the commander of the remnants of the Ukrainian Navy: Instead of a tanker there will be “Don’t eat daddy”
Vladimir Zelensky approved the candidacy of the new commander of the remnants of the Ukrainian Navy - instead of Igor Voronchenko, who was not a naval commander by training, but a tanker, his former deputy Alexey Neyizhpapa (the surname consists of the Ukrainian words “don’t eat daddy”) was appointed.
The new commander is a former Sevastopol resident, he is 44 years old, he took the oath after the collapse of the USSR. He is one of those who left Crimea in 2014, preferring service to the Bandera regime. Subsequently he participated in the ATO.
Perhaps the explanation lies in the fact that by the time of the Russian Spring, Neyizhpapa was counting on a good continuation of his career - he headed the 1st brigade of surface ships of the Ukrainian Navy, which usually took part in international exercises, and its ships received high positions in the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense.
Neyizhpapa, in particular, led the joint Sea Breeze exercise with the United States on behalf of the Ukrainian side.
And Neyizhpapa began his service on the patrol boat “Sevastopol”, which was inherited by Ukraine, which Kyiv, due to lack of funds, soon brought to the point of being written off for scrap.
It is interesting that Neyizhpapa was involved in a scandal during the 2019 presidential elections - Ukrainian media wrote that in Nikolaev he illegally campaigned for the military to vote for Petro Poroshenko.
However, Zelensky’s appointment of Poroshenko’s personnel has long been widespread, and their policies, by and large, are not much different.
Thank you!
